SOLER

Meet the designer

Alex Al-Bader

Spanish designer Alex Al-Bader founded Soler after bringing together an eclectic background spanning economics, pattern cutting at the London College of Fashion, and a career in modeling. Her vision was to create pieces that feel joyful, feminine, and effortlessly wearable—an approach that continues to define the brand today.

Working closely with artist Monica Subide, Al-Bader helped transform hand-painted fabrics into Soler’s now-iconic prints, merging artistic expression with refined silhouettes. Her design philosophy centers on craftsmanship, individuality, and creating clothing that women return to again and again.

THE BRAND

SOLER

Founded in London in 2009, Soler is a celebration of color, craftsmanship, and joyful femininity. Inspired by vintage silhouettes, bespoke tailoring, and vibrant limited-run fabrics, the brand quickly gained a devoted following among creatives and modern women seeking distinctive yet wearable pieces.

Known for its signature hand-painted textiles created in collaboration with Spanish artist Monica Subide, Soler blends art and fashion through expressive prints, simple cuts, and luxurious natural fabrics. From its technicolor Notting Hill atelier to its global collections, the brand remains rooted in its ethos of small runs, thoughtful design, and timeless pieces made to be cherished season after season.

Sarah Says...

To me what makes Soler so special is the sisterhood team work. Monica (Alex’s sister) an artist, turns her dynamic paintings into textiles from which Alex creates beautiful fashion. Everything is made in their London Atelier. Wearing this collection makes me feel like a sunny day in Notting Hill!
