Tamara Davydova

Born in Kyiv and educated at Parsons School of Design, Tamara Davydova brings over two decades of fashion experience to MINIMALIST. After working with iconic designers like Michael Kors and Monique Lhuillier, she deepened her focus on sustainability through advanced programs at FIT and Harvard Business School. Splitting her time between Lisbon and New York City, Tamara launched MINIMALIST in 2021 as a personal and professional response to the fashion industry’s wasteful norms—ushering in a new era of intentional, circular design.

the brand

minimalist

MINIMALIST is a curated collection of women’s ready-to-wear defined by circular values, elevated simplicity, and refined sustainability. Created as an antidote to the traditional linear fashion system, the brand uses responsibly sourced European fabrics, biodegradable trims, and recyclable finishes to deliver timeless garments designed to last—and be loved—for years.

With production rooted in New York City and Portugal, MINIMALIST partners with women-led factories and prioritizes ethical working conditions. From water-saving TENCEL™ jersey to GOTS-certified elastics and non-toxic packaging, every detail is vetted for its environmental impact. At its core, MINIMALIST is about crafting fewer, better pieces that serve both your wardrobe and the planet.

Sarah says...

"Tamara has become a great friend of mine. I can actually feel her personality when I wear her pieces. She’s always traveling NYC to Paris to California and then back to her family in Portugal. So it’s no surprise her pieces are wardrobe work-horses and travel well! I have an “active” rack in my own closet of the 20 pieces I am wearing on heavy rotation. Although I change it up monthly, there are never fewer than 5 Minimalist pieces on it. Sabrina Dress and Karla Jumpsuits are my favorite!"
